Ghostbusters: Afterlife Filming Locations

Concept:
Sony Pictures reached out to Travel Alberta to highlight some of the scenic spots used in the filming of the Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie. Alberta blogger Linda Hoang walked viewers through some of the many locations in Alberta used in filming the blockbuster.
Execution:
We hit the road for a two day trip through southern Alberta to more than half a dozen spots featured in the film. While travelling, we matched up video from the movie trailer to our own shots so that we could seamlessly show how the locations were transformed for the big screen. The iconic music from the movie franchise was also used to excite fans and inspire them to plan a trip of their own. It was Linda's idea to bring along a Ghostbusters costume.
Results:
The video was viewed by fans worldwide with many using it to plan their own trips through Southern Alberta to explore the sites, just as the clients had intended. Our video received more than 130,000 views on Instagram alone.
